Meet the Team
Robin Sutherland
Robin is Chief Operating Officer of Anglo Eurasia Power Africa LLC and has been based in Cape Town for almost 30 years.
He has a BSc degree in Geophysics from Edinburgh University and has since held a variety of technical and business leadership roles in Africa.
He joined Energy Africa in 1997 and subsequently led Tullow’s exploration team during the discovery and appraisal of the Jubilee and TEN fields in Ghana.
Robin is now focussed on the conceptualisation and execution of projects designed to reduce the significant impact of climate change on Africa.
Ray Leonard
Ray Leonard is President of Anglo Eurasia.
He has held executive positions with Amoco, FIOC, the Russian Oil Major YUKOS, the Hungarian National Oil Company MOL, the Kuwait Energy Company, and was most recently Chief Executive Officer of Hyperdynamics, an independent oil company exploring for oil and gas in West Africa.
Born in New York, Ray has a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Arizona and a Master of Arts degree in Geology from the University of Texas at Austin.
